Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park and all trails within the park are closed. The high-voltage transformer that provided Bonelli Park with electricity failed on May 5, 2025 and is unrepairable. LA County Parks is working with a contractor to replace the transformer. The park has been temporarily closed because there is no electricity, no running water and no bathrooms.
The Lower Bee Hive Trail is a 0.4 mile trail that winds through a section of the San Jose Hills in Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park. The short, wide trail is great for beginner trail users and for groups. It is adjacent to a variety of other trails within the Park, and can be combined with those to create a longer hike.
