Had a great hike this morning with my 2-year old labrador. The wildflowers are beautiful at this time (4/23/25)! We took (what I call) the south hills trail heading east for awhile, and then cut back to the northwest to cross Via Verde and get onto the paved path (that goes past the lake). Just FYI, I pick up some ticks, assuming in the tighter spots of the trail where it cuts back toward the road. Otherwise, this is a very nice trail when the weather is cooler.

Is e-bike allowed here?

Response

Thank you for contacting us. E-bikes are not permitted on the County's multi-use trails based on the current County Code which is acknowledged as a local decision for recreational trails (different from Class I Bikeways) under AB1096.

E-bikes are allowed on the County's paved bike paths and bikeways with the exception of the beach bike path which is restricted by ordinance.
