Sunset Trail connects the entrance gate of Will Rogers State Historic Park on Sunset Boulevard with the riding rings and polo fields located at the top of the hill overlooking the surrounding area. The dirt, single track trail climbs steadily through dense chaparral and tall eucalyptus trees. The trail offers access to other trails in the park without sharing the road with cars along Gate House Road.

The trail can be accessed from the main entrance at Will Rogers State Historic Park. From the PCH, head inland on Chautauqua Boulevard (approximately one mile north of the Santa Monica pier). After one mile turn right onto Sunset Boulevard. Park entrance will be on left via Will Rogers State Park Road.
