South Beach Access Trail is a short spur trail which provides access to the Leo Carrillo Bluff System. These trails run along the western edge of Leo Carrillo State Park between the PCH and the Pacific Ocean. The northern trails follow along the bluff above the State Beach, offering views down into the tide pools and offshore rock outcroppings that make up this protected marine habitat. On clear days it is also possible to see out to the Channel Islands. This picturesque locale has been a popular film location for beach scenes from the 1970’s to today. The coastal trail passes through the Leo Carrillo bluffs.

Parking for the trails is available at the Leo Carrillo State Beach staging area, located off the PCH, approximately 10 miles north of Malibu or 19 miles south of Oxnard.
