This fire road trail is a good way to get into the park and connect with other trails, including a nice loop option using Talepop and Las Virgenes Trails. Liberty Canyon Fire Road passes along the eastern side of the canyon with views down into the creek below. The trail gently rolls with mild up and down hills but is a good trail for beginning hikers and bikers due to the width of the trail and easy walking surface.

From the 101, take the Liberty Canyon Road exit. Head south on Liberty Canyon Road until it dead ends after approximately 0.7 miles. There is limited parking at the trailhead at Liberty Canyon Road so it is not ideal for large groups.
