Marshall Canyon Trail
presented by the County of Los AngelesTue, Aug 12 12:00 AM - Tue, Sep 30 12:00 AM
*** Please note: A portion of the Marshall Canyon Trail in the City of La Verne near Canyon Crest Drive and Northview Circle is temporarily closed for tree removal and trimming. Please use caution in the area.***
The Goldspotted Oak Borer (GSOB) Agrilus auroguttatus was discovered this April in Marshall Canyon along the multi-use trail and nearby canyon. The affected oak trees need to be removed for public safety and to help reduce GSOB movement into new areas.
The GSOB is an invasive pest that primarily lives under oak tree bark and is contributing to the on-going oak tree mortality occurring on federal, state, private, and local Native American lands in many areas of San Diego, Riverside, Orange, San Bernadino, Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
