Bay Tree Trail is a spur trail from Backbone - Rogers Road. Rogers Road is a destination trail that starts just north of Will Rogers State Historic Park on the backside of Inspiration Loop Trail. The hike offers spectacular views of the Los Angeles Basin to the north and east and an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean, Santa Monica, and Marina del Rey.

Roger Road can be accessed from the polo field at Will Rogers State Historic Park via Inspiration Loop Trail. From the PCH, head inland on Chautauqua Blvd (approximately one mile north of the Santa Monica pier). After one mile turn right onto Sunset Blvd. Park entrance will be on left via Will Rogers State Park Road. There is a fee to enter the park, charged at the gate.
