The Lower Cheeseboro Canyon Trail is a short utility road trail segment through oak savanna at the southern edge of the Simi Hills. This trail is shared by hikers and equestrians and is situated just west of the Calabasas Landfill. Plants and fauna are abundant throughout the trail segment and include woodpeckers, hawks, crows, deer, and if you’re lucky, bobcats and coyotes. The trail also passes by the historic Morrison Ranch House.

From the 101, take Chesebro Rd. and head north on Palo Comado Cyn. Rd. Turn north onto Chesebro Rd. at the 4-way stop sign. Head north approx. 1 mi. to the Cheeseboro Canyon Trailhead and entrance road. Access using Cheeseboro Canyon Trail. Limited unpaved street parking is also available where the trail meets Chesebro Rd.
