The Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail is planned to cover the famous explorer’s route from Nogales, AZ to the Bay Area. This short segment of the 1,200 journey is nestled in a canyon and leads from the Valley suburbs into the Simi Hills. Continue on the route into Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve to take advantage of the extensive trail network.

From the 101, head north on Valley Circle Blvd. Turn left (west) onto Vanowen Street and travel to the intersection with Sunset Ridge Court. Parking is available on the street.
