This trail connects Fire Road Thirty, down to Garapito Creek at the bottom of Garapito Canyon, with the intersection of Eagle Rock and Cheney Fire Roads. This trail is narrower and greener compared to the surrounding trails. The climb out of the canyon includes many switchbacks,passing dynamic rock formations. Create a loop using Fire Road Thirty and Eagle Rock Fire Road, connecting at Hub Junction.

Garapito Trail can be accessed from the staging area at the end of Reseda Blvd via Fire Road Thirty and Mulholland Drive. From the 101, exit at Reseda Boulevard in Encino and head south. Travel 3.5 miles to the end. Parking will be on the right before the roundabout. Follow fire road past gate to trail.

Rattle snakes and mountain lions near it is a great trail. Not for the beginner hiker.
