The Placerita Canyon Nature Center Associates is a non-profit volunteer group that assists the County of LA in the operation of Placerita Canyon Natural Area. Volunteers host programs, support the collection of local native wild animals, host annual events, and invite the community to come to the center, learn about nature, local history and take a hike. In addition, the Docent Naturalist training program occurs once a year in January through March, where volunteers can learn how to lead hikes for elementary school groups.
