Trails LA County App Featured on American Trails

Our newly launched Trails LA County app has been featured in the most recent publication of the American Trails newsletter! The article, written by LA County Parks and Recreation team members as well as our app partner, Trailhead Labs, highlights the popularity of trails nationwide and outlines some of the challenges that the project team faced in building out the app, such as navigating the myriad jurisdictional layers within LA County and translating existing trails data into a tech-savvy, public facing app that makes authorized trails in the County accessible, and downloadable, to all.  The article also highlights the partnership between several trail managing agencies in LA County that contributed to the successful launch of the Trails LA County App.
